The collaboration between Axepta BNP Paribas Benelux and BNP Paribas Fortis has resulted in a great achievement for the established Belgian festival and concert organiser FKP Scorpio Belgium in June. Despite a very tight deadline and various technical constraints, Axepta BNP Paribas managed to take over the transaction processing of 110 payment terminals from FKP Scorpio Belgium, in addition to providing around 10 mobile payment terminals.
Acting at a faster pace
“Jan Digneffe, director of FKP Scorpio Belgium, is one of our loyal customers”, Joachim Willems says, Relationship manager at BNP Paribas Fortis. “During a telephone conversation, Jan informed me that he was facing a problem with the transaction processing of about a hundred cash registers. These were intended for use during the three-day ‘Life /S Life’ summer festival, which was kicking off just three days later in Zeebrugge.”
“Given this very short deadline, I immediately called on the experts in the field”, Joachim adds further. “Jan had already been in contact with Axepta BNP Paribas for the delivery of 10 mobile payment terminals with GPRS. So the trust between both parties was already established.”
The scale and complexity of the task of taking over the transaction processing of 110 devices in such a short timeframe was not obvious. Certainly not given the technical difficulties the team at Axepta BNP Paribas had to face. Despite these circumstances, the team was able to complete the mission in 24 hours.
“Offering tailor-made services is our job. We have therefore made every effort to fulfill our duty”, Joeri Dullaert says, Head of field sales at Axepta BNP Paribas. “We completely adapted our internal systems in order to be able to align them with the existing processes at FKP Scorpio Belgium, which differed from one supplier to another. One of the ways we did this was through our network of peers, which we have built up over many years of experience in the payments industry.”
Other top acts in the offing
Everything came to a smooth end with a brilliant result. ‘Life /S life’ was a triumph with 30,000 tickets sold. As for Axepta BNP Paribas, we were lucky enough to be called back for a new appearance alongside FKP Scorpio Belgium on the occasion of ‘Casa Blanca’, a series of concerts organized from June 23 to July 3 at the Hemiksem Abbaye in Antwerp.
“Standing ovation for the joint efforts that were made”, Jan Digneffe says, director of FKP Scorpio Belgium. “The speed and flexibility of both Axepta BNP Paribas and BNP Paribas Fortis were really key in this project. The integral, thorough service was greatly appreciated. We are constantly looking for strong and lasting partnerships and this collaboration will be one of them.”
“What I will remember above all from this is the synergetic way of working between BNP Paribas Fortis and Axepta BNP Paribas, which allows for great meetings and opportunities like this one”, Joeri adds. “Getting something done together is awesome!”
